Advice and support

Project management and funding

Manta Ecology has worked closely with local and national conservation charities and landowners. We have managed various projects from their inception through to completion. Our services include planning and undertaking works in invasive non-native species control, habitat surveys, peatland restoration and agri-environment schemes. We advise on practical and legislative issues, apply for appropriate funding and liaise with funding and other statutory bodies such as SNH, the Rural Payments organisation and SEPA, to produce the best outcomes for our clients.

Training and advocacy

Manta Ecology are very active in the local community. We run workshops for community groups and volunteers in the surveillance and removal of R. ponticum and other invasive plants. We have been central to landscape scale control and eradication efforts in Wester Ross. We work closely with local charities, individuals and landowners in these efforts. As such we are actively involved in advocacy and community engagement and education. Channy has been a board member of the UNESCO Wester Ross Biosphere since its inception.

We offer workshops for professionals in the most recent techniques of R. ponticum control, habitat and botanical surveying planning, techniques and report writing.
